The DirectSound driver has been glitch-prone for a while, so it has removed and replaced with a WaveOut driver. A large set of shaders can be downloaded from: These can currently only be used with OpenGL on the Windows and GTK versions. The largest change is a refactoring of the sound handling, which means sound should work better than before and consume less CPU time. Fixed sound output that broke with APU refactor. Startup background can be changed in nf. Add the view menu to right-click when SNES mouse isn't used. Allow one key to be bound to many controller buttons on the same controller.
Snes9x update#
Fixed accumulation of partial pixel data on mouse motion when we update the Changed glFenceSync option to an OML_sync option that works better. Added icons to the entries to clear binding assignments.
Snes9x software#
Added option to use the software NTSC filter. Fixed deviation from proper libretro spec. Added ability to use Satellaview data in same directory as ROM. Added a hacks dialog to enable settings for older hacks to run. The automatic frame skip option no longer limits to 59.94Hz. Manager while in windowed or borderless windowed mode. Added a hidden option "DWMSync" that allows OpenGL to sync to the window Changed window flags to allow NVIDIA cards to auto-enable exclusive Fixed MSU1 track restarting on load state. Revert to measured APU clock speed instead of nominal speed. Optimized subscreen math with help from Dwedit.

Save mipmap_input parameter with customized GLSL and slang shaders. Clamp MSU1 addition to max amplitude instead of wrapping. Reverted an IPL map optimization that misses a weird edge case that caused Fixed NMI timing when toggling enable bit. Or else, it'll desynch or outright not work.- Fixed subscreen blending with master brightness < 100%. Everyone needs to have the exact same ROM version and save file. It's slightly prone to freezing/crashing/BSOD, but to a much lesser extent than the multiplayer client. The highest ping that it tolerates is around the 150ms mark, after which it starts to desynch very often.Excellent connectivity between 2 players (ONLY), sometimes informally compared to GGPO's netcode in efficiency. You will hear no sound while the window is unfocused. You need to constantly switch focus back and forth between chat and emulator window in order to chat.Everyone needs to have the exact same save file, or no save file at all.Everyone needs to have the exact same ROM version or Netplay won't work (if it somehow does, it'll desynch rather quickly). The emulator is based upon (SNES9x 1.42, a 10 year old version) lacks ALOT of options, and incorrectly emulates several games (most Bishoujo Senshi, DBZ Super Butouden 2, etc.).It's annoying, but rarely does it make it unplayable Random, inconsistent FPS drops due to the server trying to keep everyone synched, sometimes stuttering. It's slightly (significantly still) prone to freezing/crashing/BSOD (in that order). It's a matchmaking service where you can join other people's rooms, too.Kicking/banning/muting people from your room.Being able to drop out of a game at any time without disrupting (much) your teammate(s).Private game chat support and public chat to speak people outside your game room.Netplay traffic is handled by a central dedicated server that helps keep things synched. No fiddling with router settings and port forwarding.Support for up to 8 simultaneous people playing. If using the updated multiplayer client Review It is based on a very old (~2005) build of Snes9x. Snes9k is Snes9x with Kaillera client support. Zmz is a version of Snes9x that uses zsnes GUI. conf file and add in (J0)POV Up Right, (J0)POV Dn Right, etc. Snes9x stopped recognizing diagonals and joystick/R2/L2 input? Snes9x has issues with Xinput (such as with XInput Wrapper SCP). Also, it's recommended not to use the official site because the developers have lost access to it many years ago. The stable release is very old, so use the latest SVN build instead if possible. It is not as accurate as higan, but that shouldn't be an issue for most people. It has very high compatibility and is easy to use. It is a very good SNES emulator, far superior to ZSNES.
Snes9x psp#
Use the mecm build where possible, unless you use the PSP emulator on Vita, in which case use the cm build. Inaccuracies everywhere, especially with sound, but it's the best thing available for PSP for SNES emulation.
